Martha, Martha, Martha

I have always thought that Flor carpet squares were brilliant. I hate being that hostess who rolls up her fancy rug before having a large group over. And while it won’t happen anytime soon I do indeed plan to reproduce one day and from what I hear babies are not exactly the tidiest little buggers, so being able to switch out a dirty carpet square as opposed to buying an entirely new rug is certainly as appealing idea. If only the majority of their choices weren’t so institutional looking. Enter Martha. Her new line of Flor carpet squares are amazing! I’m particularly in love with this lattice pattern. Btw, I found these over at FancyPants and she has a 15% off coupon code good thru 2/26.

I really do like that lattice pattern. Unfortunately we own a cat who somehow manages to shed every minute of the day, and more at night. In addition, she is stupid. She thinks she can sleep in “off limits” places at night and I won’t know. Well, if she didn’t shed so much I might not. That said, I am looking for an oriental with multicolored designs covering the entire rug, so hopefully the fur will be less noticeable. Or she could just become an outside cat.
Have you considered the roomba robotic vacuum cleaner? they have a version designed for pet hair. Its a robot!
I like that. You’re right, much less institutional.
