Baby Grobal

I am having the most stressful week EVER.  My poor kitty went suddenly blind over the weekend and seems to be experiencing kidney failure.  I would like to have just one low maintenance life form in my home.  Like a plant.  No, wait.  I kill those.  I just hate how they’re constantly taking and never giving.  About a month ago I finally gave up and threw away all of our plants.  I not buy one bundle of flowers every Friday because a house without any plant life at all would just be sad.  But then I found these Baby Grbals by Karim Rashid.   They are self-watering plant pots.  Trute, I’m sure that at soem point they have to be refilled but I could always set an appointment for that in my phone (please don’t let it be more than once a month).  Baby Grobals are $14.95 and come in tons of cute bright colors.  They also make larger Grobals but I think I should start off small and then work my way up.

Well here it is the cusp of high summer so of course I am thinking about fall clothes, my favorites.  I love summer and all, but mainly because hanging around outside eating out of a cooler all day is not only accepted, but expected, not for the clothes.  How many sundresses can one own.  Ok a lot, but I have popsicle stains on every single one of mine.  What really excites me is something like a wool pencil skirt and tights.  oooo.  I was thinking of getting some super shiny penny loafers this fall to wear with skirts.  Oh I should mention that I’ve left my firm  job and come fall will be a stay at home mother, and will be moving from Boston to New York, another wool tights-appropriate town thank goodness.  So I can’t wear pumps every day as I have in the past, but still want to wear all my skirts.  I don’t really like that brogue thing so I was thinking loafers.   I was so pleased to see that G.H.Bass has had a little update (or at least “up” to me) and they have some CUTE shoes for the bookish, like these Beacon Hill  loafers, which I will be ordering definitely in “dune” (above) and maybe also navy.  They are only 65$!  I think these will be better than my original idea because a traditional penny loafer may come off as frumpy rather than bookish, a fine line. The Beacon Hill is also  suitable for “slacks” according to the description, so thanks for that.

P.S.  The Bass site is like a tour of my childhood feet right now, check out these heeled saddleshoes.  Maybe not for everyone but I think they are pretty adorable.

Star Wars Cookie Cutters

Sorry for my absence.  My computer keyboard has been slowly giving out over the last few weeks and at this point will only type the letter J.  I have tried writing several post but all I could say was jjjjjjjjjj and so I wasn’t really getting my point across.  I hope to have a new keyboard next week.  In the meantime, I have distracted my husband momentarily and am coming to you live from his computer to bring  you these super awesome Star Wars cookie cutters from Williams Sonoma.  If you are married to a nerd and have a child these have Father’s day written all over them!  The set of 4 is $19.95. May the force be with you.
